the B bar - Tuesday Ten: Long Flight Travel Essentials

It’s Tuesday + you know what that means! #TuesdayTen has arrived + today I am sharing 10 must have travel essentials for long flights. As I prepare for my trip to Madrid next month, I’ve really been thinking this through. It’ll be a long flight. Being prepared is obviously a must!!! I’m too excited, so let’s get started on this week’s Tuesday Ten: Long Flight Travel Essentials.

Tuesday Ten: Long Flight Travel Essentials

  1. Wet Ones – these are super important in order to disinfect the area around you. There is tons of a germs on an airplane and the last thing you need is to spend your vacation being sick! That’s a NO no!
  2. A brush is a handy tool to carry with you so that you can touch up your hair after a long flight. You KNOW your hair will not be looking pretty after a few hours of trying to get comfortable on a plane.
  3. Headphones are a great idea if you want to listen to some relaxing music, a podcast, or even a movie. These will go a long way!
  4. If you are anything like me, you will be cold on a plane, so a little throw is a good idea!
  5. A water bottle where you can carry water is a good idea. Stay hydrated!!!
  6. Eye Drops are a must for me. I think for a long flight I would wear glasses but prior to arriving I think I’ll switch out to contacts + having these drops will be important.
  7. A portable charger! OBVI! The last thing you want is to be stuck without your phone / iPad / or whatever you are using.
  8. A hydrating mask is a great thing to have. Being in the air for hours isn’t a great thing for your skin. Usually, it drys you out, SO, this will do the trick!
  9. A pillow will be your bestie as you try and get comfy in a not so comfortable setting. I love this one from Target.
  10. A sleeping eye mask! How cute is this one! OK – this one is important. Especially on an over night flight, you know that ONE person that keeps the light on + won’t let you sleep, well, this will block them out! LOL

There you have it! There is more I’ll be taking obvi! But, there were in my TOP 10 things I have to take with me. As I prepare for Spain, I will be sharing more of my preparations with you all.

What are some things YOU take with you on a long flight? Tell me in the comments below!!

As always, thanks for stopping by the B bar!

All of these are a must for long flights! Head phones are key to being able to block out unwanted noises. Staying hydrated is a must as well. I bring eye gel masks with me to revive my tired eyes.

That’s a great essentials list Bea:) I completely agree on the wet wipes and the throw – when I forget either, I’m always regretting it!

#6 is so important to me! I hate dry eyes and I always struggle with them during a long flight.

I completely agree – eye drops are essential! My eyes get so dry on planes that any relief is welcome.

Having a bottle of water and a portable charger is definitely key for me! I love to have magazines or books too in case I don’t feel like watching in-flight movies.

Love the DryBar brush and the mask! I’m about to travel soon and need to remember some of these.

Love the sleep mask. That is sooo cute. And I’m totally with you on the charger and headphones. You’d never catch me on any flight without them. Though I’ll have to skip the brush, lol. I have curly hair, and I’d look like a crazy mess if I brushed it. I’ll take a spray bottle instead!

I just started using face masks at the end of my flights and they are so refreshing! Great list!

The airlines I travel with from Dubai usually provide a number of the items you mentioned in their economy class long flights, but I always carry dettol hand wipes with me to clean the tray and armrests.

That’s so awesome that they provide some of the items!!! Less you have to carry with you!

These are some great tips. I have a travel pillow and sleep mask, and I would never fly without headphones. But Wet Ones? Great idea!

    Have fun in Spain!
